Avant will report your credit card account to the three major bureaus -- Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion -- on a monthly basis. In most cases, you will see the most recent status of your account on your credit report shortly after your billing date.

2. I recently closed my credit card, how will this be reflected on my credit report?

Your closed account will be reported to the three major bureaus -- Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. The date you closed your credit card account will be reflected on your credit report. Any remaining balance at the time of the account closure must be satisfied before the account will be reported as paid off. Avant will report to the credit bureaus the day following your billing due date. However, as the credit bureaus have different processing times, Avant cannot guarantee a specific timeframe in which updates will be published.

3. I recently closed my account and have a $0 balance, how will this be reflected on my credit report?

Your closed credit card account that has a $0 balance will be reported to the three major credit bureaus -- Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Each credit bureau may use different terms for the status of the account. For example, your account may appear as “closed”, “paid”, or “paid and closed.” If you have questions about the account status and how it appears on your credit report, please contact the respective credit bureau.

4. I missed a credit card payment, will my account be reported as late?

If your scheduled credit card payment is late and the full payment amount is not paid within 30 days of its due date, you may be reported as being 30 days past due to the credit bureaus.
